You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files.If you've recently graduated from law school, have excellent fact-finding and communication skills, and are ready to jump-start your career in the legal industry, we want to hear from you!Compensation:$97,000 - $180,000 yearlyResponsibilities:Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings Investigate and gather evidence related to personal injury cases, including police reports, medical records, and witness statementsDraft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requestsNegotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to reach a settlement agreementRepresent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrationsAttend depositions and conduct witness interviewsProvide clients with regular updates on the status of their caseCollaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop legal strategies and argumentsMaintain accurate and complete case files and documentationQualifications:Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Applicants must have successfully passed the state bar exam Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base This position is based in our St. George, Utah, office.
