Overview

Jobot is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join their growing team in Imperial, California. This position will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of multifamily construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and adhering to high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Superintendent in planning and supervising on-site functions including scheduling and material control.
  • Ensure construction activities align with project schedules and coordinate work with subcontractors.
  • Oversee multifamily construction projects from the ground up, including podium and mid-rise projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and maintain a safe work site.
  • Manage field operations to meet project timelines and budget.
  • Prepare daily reports and update project management software with real-time information.
  • Coordinate site logistics and address on-site problems.

Required skills

  • 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in multifamily construction.
  • Experience in construction scheduling and subcontractor coordination.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, especially podium, mid-rise, and wood frame.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and other construction documents.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA jobsite safety regulations.
  • Experience using project management software, preferably Procore.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and effective site logistics coordination.
  • Strong communication skills and team leadership experience.
