Overview

The Assistant Store Manager at Safelite is responsible for leading and directing front line associates to enhance customer experiences in a retail setting. The role encompasses managing daily operations, including cash management, inventory control, and team training, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Motivate and lead activities of associates for productivity and customer service
  • Provide cross-training for operational stability
  • Handle customer complaints and warranty issues
  • Manage work order assignments and mobile job routing
  • Train associates on installation techniques and internal processes
  • Monitor productivity, inventory, and store cleanliness
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience in retail or service center environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
