Overview

The Assistant Sales Manager at Millcraft plays a pivotal role in cultivating the next generation of sales leadership within the company. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about sales, people-oriented, and looking to transition into a future Sales Manager role. Responsibilities include supporting experienced sales leaders, building customer relationships, and gaining exposure to various business operations while managing assigned sales accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn the Millcraft sales leadership model through mentorship.
  • Travel to support ride-alongs and customer visits.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Support Sales Managers in coaching Account Managers.
  • Manage and grow assigned sales accounts.
  • Identify customer challenges and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer success.
  • Utilize CRM tools for pipeline management and sales tracking.
  • Participate in coaching discussions and leadership development activities.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience preferred.
  • Previous sales, account management, or customer service experience.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Competitive mindset with a solid work ethic.
  • Curiosity and strong listening skills.
  • Self-starter mentality with organizational skills.
  • Coachability and openness to feedback.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems and sales processes.
