Overview

Roers Companies is looking for an energetic Assistant Property Manager to join their team in Burnsville, MN. This role focuses on connecting residents to community and achieving occupancy and rental goals for the property, while also supporting marketing initiatives and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Solicit business to achieve occupancy and rental goals
  • Market the property through advertising and responding to inquiries
  • Lead property tours for prospective residents
  • Train staff and model effective sales techniques
  • Manage rent collection efforts and handle delinquent residents
  • Assist in managing the property's budget and financial decisions
  • Maintain resident ledgers and files for accuracy
  • Perform unit inspections during move-ins and move-outs
  • Act as Property Manager in their absence

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years leasing or Assistant Property Manager experience
  • Knowledge of Yardi preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and basic computer skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with marketing and leasing initiatives preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with high integrity
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including walking property and inspections
