Overview

The Assistant Manager at Pure Hockey in Grand Rapids will support the Store Manager in daily operational tasks, focusing on achieving sales goals, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This role includes leading a team, managing store performance, and collaborating with management to meet operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in merchandising, operations, sales, and customer service
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through knowledge of products and teamwork
  • Conduct opening and closing routines for daily operations
  • Partner with Store Manager on sales metrics and expectations
  • Coach and develop store associates
  • Maintain product knowledge and awareness
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience
  • Retail management experience
  • Experience in a retail/customer service environment
  • Training and coaching skills
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
