Overview

The Assistant Manager at Pure Hockey supports daily store operations, helping to achieve sales goals, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure operational excellence. This role involves collaborating with team members and management to enhance customer service and drive sales.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in merchandising, operations, sales, and customer service
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through knowledgeable service
  • Conduct opening and closing operational routines
  • Partner with Store Manager to establish critical metrics and expectations
  • Coach and develop store associates to encourage professional growth
  • Act as a liaison between customers, sales associates, and store leadership
  • Maintain product knowledge and awareness of upcoming products
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience
  • Retail management experience preferred
  • Experience in a retail/customer service environment
  • Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs
