Overview

Pine Manor Inc is a family-owned company dedicated to producing high-quality chicken while maintaining strict animal welfare standards. They are seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring that all equipment and facilities function efficiently, while also managing a team of maintenance personnel.

Key responsibilities

  • Delegate Maintenance Technician's work list and ensure completion in a safe and timely manner
  • Schedule groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and general site upkeep
  • Oversee routine and preventative maintenance on plant processing equipment
  • Schedule and order supplies for new equipment installs and oversee installations
  • Ensure all plant repairs are scheduled or completed as needed
  • Assist in planning new equipment installations
  • Conduct bi-weekly safety meetings and document attendance
  • Manage disciplinary actions and approval of vacations for maintenance staff

Required skills

  • Strong management skills and leadership focus
  • Proficient in programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial automation systems
  • Solid understanding of facilities management principles
  • Mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies
  • Experience in manufacturing environments with an emphasis on safety protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters
  • Previous supervisory experience
