Overview

The Assistant Maintenance Manager at Pine Manor Inc. is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Manager in the upkeep and efficient operation of facility equipment and infrastructure. This role involves overseeing maintenance staff, coordinating repair schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards to maintain a safe and productive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily maintenance operations across the facility.
  • Coordinate and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to optimize equipment reliability.
  • Manage and support maintenance staff, including training, performance evaluations, and work assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Monitor maintenance budgets, control costs, and assist in procurement of tools and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory levels.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance operations
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and basic computer applications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline preferred
  • Certification in maintenance management or relevant technical certifications
  • Experience with budgeting and resource allocation in a maintenance environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices
