Overview

As an Assistant Kitchen Manager at Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, you will support the Kitchen Manager in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food preparation and quality control. The role requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to manage staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
  • Support menu development and ensure adherence to restaurant standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in compliance with health regulations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety.
  • Manage inventory levels and track food costs to achieve profitability.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections and address maintenance needs.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff for efficient kitchen-dining coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate leadership to foster a positive work culture.
