Fresh Baguette is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant General Manager for their bakery cafes in the Maryland and Virginia area. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and fostering team development in a vibrant, artisanal bakery environment known for its high-quality standards and French-inspired offerings.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations and maintain high service quality standards
  • Delegate tasks and support team efficiency
  • Train team members on food safety and product knowledge
  • Lead by example in providing a welcoming customer experience
  • Assist with recruitment, including hiring and scheduling
  • Mentor and develop staff members
  • Seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Manage inventory and track stock levels
  • Promote and embody Fresh Baguette's core values

Required skills

  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hours
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and food safety codes
  • Experience in training team members
  • Hands-on problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for coffee, bread, and French baked goods
