Overview

The Assistant Executive Director at Wallick Communities in Traverse City, Michigan, plays a vital role in managing the operations of a senior living community. This position involves overseeing resident experiences, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of hospitality and engagement for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Key responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of gracious hospitality to ensure a home-like environment for residents.
  • Achieve and exceed Net Operating Income (NOI) and occupancy targets.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate daily life enrichment programming.
  • Ensure the community maintains continuous survey readiness and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor staffing ratios and uphold high standards of care and service.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure care plan accuracy and delivery excellence.
  • Develop and maintain local partnerships to drive referrals and attract new residents.
  • Manage monthly financial statements and align with budget goals.
  • Provide leadership across all departments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Foster an inclusive workplace culture that supports team development.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) and five years of experience in managing Assisted Living and Memory Care communities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make complex decisions with a high degree of judgment.
  • Competency in elder care management.
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license (preferred but not required).
