Overview

The Assistant Equipment Mechanic at Desert Highlands Association plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing motorized equipment essential for the operation of a premier residential golf community. The position supports the Equipment Manager by conducting a variety of mechanical and maintenance tasks, ensuring high-quality service to club members.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Equipment Manager in the repair and maintenance of motorized equipment
  • Repair and adjust engines and cutting mechanisms of mowing equipment
  • Overhaul and repair automotive and powered equipment including engines and transmissions
  • Secure and replace tools and parts; clean working areas after repairs
  • Lubricate and service automotive equipment
  • Assist in electric gas welding
  • Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies and make routine adjustments

Required skills

  • Working knowledge of gasoline, diesel, and electric equipment
  • Knowledge of servicing golf course equipment
  • Repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment
  • Mechanical dexterity and usage of common mechanical tools
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Valid driver's license
