Overview

The Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services at Life Care Center of Sierra Vista plays a critical role in overseeing the rehab departments of physical, occupational, and speech therapy. This position supports the Director of Rehabilitation Services in ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Director in directing rehab departments to ensure quality services
  • Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise rehab staff
  • Provide clinical oversight within discipline and adhere to rehab practice standards
  • Function as a staff therapist as needed based on caseload
  • Liaise with patients, families, and support departments to address patient needs
  • Implement and interpret the department's policies and procedures
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and confidentiality requirements
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and positive attitude towards patients

Required skills

  • Active license in relevant therapy field (physical, occupational, or speech)
  • Supervisory experience in a post-acute care or related setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • CPR certification required
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing post-acute care functions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and function in an interdisciplinary team
