Job Description

Overview

Lycoming College is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Financial Aid to join its enrollment management team. This position is responsible for providing financial aid counseling, processing aid packages, and ensuring a compassionate and accurate delivery of financial information to students and families.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of financial aid policies and regulations.
  • Provide financial aid counseling to prospective and current students and parents.
  • Assist in building financial aid packages and evaluating appeals.
  • Coordinate communications with students regarding financial aid status and documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison with various campus offices to support student needs.
  • Present financial aid information at new student orientations.
  • Support audit processes and participate in training related to financial aid.

Required skills

  • Associate's degree required, bachelor's preferred.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service and creative thinking abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and meet competing deadlines.
  • Valid US driver's license and successful completion of Act 153 clearances required.
