Overview

The Assistant Director of Hospice - Palliative will develop, direct, and control overall agency administrative practices, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing operational efficiency. This role requires supervision of the hospice program while motivating and retaining qualified staff to ensure the delivery of quality services.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and direct agency administrative practices
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations
  • Enhance operating efficiency within the agency
  • Motivate and retain qualified staff
  • Oversee the quality of all agency services delivered
  • Serve as the administrator of the Hospice program

Required skills

  • Nursing License active in the state of Missouri
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services or Business related field
  • Minimum one year experience in hospice agency administration or supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem resolution skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and use of independent judgment
  • Creativity in approach to challenges
  • Active Driver's License
  • BLS certification required within 90 days
