The University of Cincinnati seeks an Assistant Director Academic for the Department of Biological Sciences, primarily responsible for teaching laboratory sections of a large Human Anatomy and Physiology course aimed at undergraduate students pursuing careers in nursing and allied health. The role involves collaborating with faculty, meeting student needs, and adapting to enrollment changes.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach several laboratory sections of the Human Anatomy and Physiology course (BIOL 2001C and BIOL 2002C).
  • Hold office hours to support student needs and respond to communications promptly.
  • Coordinate with faculty and staff involved in the course.
  • Carry out the evaluation of student coursework.
  • Engage in administrative work related to laboratory preparation and course organization, keeping it under 25% of the workload.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a biological science field (General Biology, Physiology, Microbiology, or related field).
  • At least one year of collegiate-level teaching experience.
  • Experience with college-level courses in Anatomy and Physiology or related subjects.
