Assistant Property ControllerSalary: $80-125kFort Lauderdale, FL (on-site)Why This Opportunity Stands Out:• Work directly alongside the Property Controller with strong mentorship and visibility• Hands-on role with meaningful ownership, not siloed or purely transactional work• Exposure to a full-cycle retail real estate portfolio across multiple shopping centers• Collaborative, close-knit team environment where your input matters• Opportunity to deepen expertise in commercial real estate accounting and leasing structures• Blend of accounting, finance, and operational insight - not just reporting• Stable and established organization within the South Florida real estate market• Competitive benefits package including health, 401(k) with match, and PTO Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Property Controller:• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual property financial statements• Review and abstract retail leases and maintain lease data in accounting systems• Perform CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations and retail billing calculations• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning• Review tenant ledgers, rent schedules, and collections activity• Assist with internal controls and financial compliance Qualifications for the Assistant Property Controller:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)• 1-2+ years of retail or shopping center property accounting or commercial property accounting experience• Experience with CAM reconciliations and retail lease structures (NNN, percentage rent, etc.)• Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, or RealPage and strong Excel skills
