Job Description

Overview

Pratum Companies is looking for an experienced Assistant Community Manager to oversee leasing operations at an affordable housing community governed by HUD/Section 8 regulations. The role includes maintaining compliance, providing exceptional customer service, and managing administrative tasks related to resident applications and income verification.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with management of affordable housing compliance programs for HUD
  • Maintain property waiting list
  • Coordinate data collection and processing of resident information
  • Schedule and manage resident recertification interviews
  • Ensure accurate calculations of income, assets, and rent levels
  • Assist manager with accounts receivables and payables
  • Coordinate apartment inspections and create work requests
  • Assist residents with inquiries and maintain resident files
  • Support office staff with rent collection and social activities
  • Perform various administrative and leasing tasks as assigned

Required skills

  • 2+ years of property management experience in affordable housing
  • Experience with HUD/Section 8 compliance and recertification
  • Certification related to HUD/Section 8 compliance is ideal
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Accounts receivable and collections experience
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and One-Site Property Management Software
  • Basic computer and internet knowledge
