Overview

The Assistant Client Service Specialist - Commercial Lines at Marshall & Sterling is primarily responsible for providing exceptional service and administrative support to clients in the insurance sector. This role requires a strong emphasis on client communication and operational efficiency, ideally suited for someone who is bilingual in English and Spanish. The position is based in Latham, NY, and promotes a collaborative, employee-owned culture focused on innovation and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Support client communications and coordinate administrative tasks
  • Provide hands-on support with quoting policies, ordering MVRs, and processing documents
  • Assist Client Service Specialists with customer requests and maintain smooth operations
  • Issue proof of insurance and request loss runs for clients
  • Document all client and carrier communications regarding coverages in the management system
  • Follow workflow procedures and adhere to agency guidelines
  • Maintain required professional accreditations and participate in continuing education

Required skills

  • Proficiency with AI tools and task management systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with AMS360 is a plus
  • Prior experience in insurance; commercial insurance experience is a plus
  • Bilingual communication in English and Spanish
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
