THE OPPORTUNITY The Assistant Business Manager is the operational and compliance anchor for an assigned affordable property, owning the full cycle of certifications, regulatory reporting, resident eligibility, and day-to-day execution. This role requires technical fluency in LIHTC and layered program requirements and the discipline to execute without shortcuts. Reports to the Business Manager. WHAT YOU'LL BE STEERING Compliance ExecutionMaintain full compliance with LIHTC, Section 8, HOME, and applicable program requirements; keep resident files audit-ready; submit all city, state, MN Housing, HUD, and syndicator reports on time. Certifications and EligibilityExecute certifications, recertifications, and income verifications accurately and on schedule; manage waitlist and application process per housing authority and program guidelines. Property OperationsOversee day-to-day leasing, maintenance coordination, and resident relations; uphold SAIL policies and operational standards consistently; respond to residents and online reviews with professionalism. Financial AccuracyHit occupancy, collections, and compliance benchmarks; operate within budget; enter complete, accurate data in Yardi.
