Overview

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) at Civista Bank is responsible for overseeing daily branch activities with a focus on driving performance, sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves both coaching the team and actively engaging with customers to assess needs and build relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee branch daily activities and drive performance
  • Support and coach branch employees for performance and career development
  • Lead the team through the sales process and change management
  • Open personal, business, and loan accounts, including additional products
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly customer satisfaction metrics
  • Exhibit knowledge of consumer lending processes and build customer trust
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies and operational tasks
  • Conduct interviewing and hiring processes with management
  • Teach customers how to use technology in banking interactions

Required skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in retail or branch banking
  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Sales management experience
  • Understanding of financial products and consumer lending
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
