Overview

Hopper Environmental Service, Inc. is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Bookkeeper to support the daily financial operations of their family-owned pest control company. The role involves maintaining accurate records, assisting with bookkeeping and administrative tasks, and contributing to the overall financial health of the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
  • Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process customer payments and vendor invoices
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense tracking
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries for management
  • Maintain organized financial and customer records
  • Assist with budgeting and expense tracking
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and team members
  • Support office operations and administrative tasks as needed
  • Help ensure compliance with company procedures and financial policies

Required skills

  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
