Overview

The Assembler & Tester role at Baker Manufacturing Company involves assembling, testing, and inspecting machined components and finished products on the 2nd shift. This full-time position requires collaboration with the machining department to ensure products meet quality and performance specifications. An initial training period on the 1st shift is mandatory before transitioning to the 2nd shift.

Key responsibilities

  • Assemble machined components and finished products according to specifications
  • Perform functional, pressure, and quality testing on products and assemblies
  • Verify dimensions and performance of assembled components
  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and quality documentation
  • Inspect parts and finished products for quality standards
  • Identify and report quality issues or defects
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Support other production activities as needed
