Overview

Metalcraft of Mayville is hiring Assemblers for the 3rd Shift in Horicon, Wisconsin. The role involves assembling parts and subassemblies for various products and requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
  • Assemble components and verify specifications by measuring completed work.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly problems, notifying supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain operational equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following safety procedures.
  • Manage supplies inventory and place orders as necessary.
  • Document production and quality actions.
  • Contribute to team efforts and comply with corporate safety standards.

Required skills

  • Experience in a highly technical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Experience in light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate with other departments.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Detail-oriented with good self-motivation and multitasking skills.
  • Good finger and hand dexterity.
