Overview

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking Assemblers for the 2nd Shift in Horicon, Wisconsin. The role involves producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies for products while following assembly instructions and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists
  • Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements
  • Assemble components by verifying connections and fastening parts
  • Resolve assembly problems and notify supervisors for additional resources
  • Complete preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Manage supplies inventory and place orders as needed
  • Document production and quality forms
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve results
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards

Required skills

  • Experience in a highly technical environment
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Light electrical assembly or heavy equipment assembly experience
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork and coordination abilities
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Detail orientation and multitasking skills
  • Good finger and hand dexterity
