Job Description

Overview

Dunmore Asphalt, a division of H&K Group, Inc., is seeking an Asphalt Groundsperson/Maintenance for the night shift. The ideal candidate should be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and excel at teamwork, with responsibilities spanning maintenance and operational support at the plant.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Maintain clean work areas including catwalks, walk-ways, and general plant area
  • Proactively learn plant functions and operations
  • Take direction from and work in a team with all other site personnel
  • Cross train to learn all jobs of the plant and substitute when necessary
  • Complete assigned tasks safely and professionally
  • Other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE
  • Physical capability to meet job requirements
  • Maintenance experience
  • 3+ months related experience
  • Experience operating heavy equipment, particularly Loader
  • Experience working in a quarry or heavy civil construction
  • MSHA or other relevant safety certification
