Tell us about how your keen sense of observation is one of your greatest strengths.As a Security Officer - Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.What's in it for you:Site Location: Glen Allen, VaSet schedule: Full-time 3:00PM - 11:00PM, Monday - Friday Competitive hourly wage of $32.45/Hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)A comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions, paid time off (PTO) policy, paid holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance optionsCareer growth opportunities at GardaWorldUniform provided at no costResponsibilities of Tactical Security GuardPhysical fitness assessment and shooting qualificationPatrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activityVerify identities and control access to secure areasReact quickly to threats or incidentsCheck the proper functioning of alarms and camerasDocument incidents and actions takenRespond to alarms and conduct on-site checksCollaborate with law enforcement during serious incidentsEnsure the safety and protection of individuals and propertyMinimum RequirementsPrior tactical firearms experience and prior advanced training in emergency medicine preferred.Miniumm 3 years federal, state, local law enforcement or military police experience.Must possess advanced skills and professional experience in the areas of people and conflict management with tact and discretion and through the utilization of de-escalation techniques.Must possess the ability to function in stressful situations while exercising good judgement.Demonstrate strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the public while maintaining poise and self-control under stress.Must possess, or be able to obtain, weapon training qualification certification for the type of weapon required at the post to which the applicant is being considered for placement.Must be at least 21 years of age.Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.Qualifications of Tactical Security GuardBe authorized to work in the U.S. Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening processFirst aid certification is an assetAbility to stand and walk for the entire shiftIf you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience - even better!You have a state license if requiredIn the United States, GardaWorld Security remains the only guarding security company to be Certified by Great Place to Work.
