Overview

As an Area Supervisor at Ross Stores, you will play a crucial role in the leadership and operations of the store. Responsible for managing a specific area within the store, you will ensure the execution of operational processes and the maintenance of a safe and inviting environment for customers and associates alike.

Key responsibilities

  • Open and close the store as needed
  • Supervise and train associates
  • Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
  • Ensure proper merchandise presentation and cleanliness
  • Manage customer service interactions with respect and professionalism
  • Oversee inventory management and merchandise processing
  • Support loss prevention efforts and execute company best practices
  • Train associates on front-end operations and cash register procedures
  • Handle administrative duties assigned by the Store Manager

Required skills

  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment
  • Basic mathematical calculation abilities
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, and move around the store for extended periods
