Overview

As an Area Supervisor at Ross Stores in Yankton, South Dakota, you will be an integral part of the Store Leadership team, responsible for overseeing a specific area of the Store and general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. Your role focuses on ensuring safety, customer service, and effective merchandising while fostering a positive shopping environment and supporting team growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise Associates and maintain Store operations during Manager on Duty shifts.
  • Ensure a safe and secure shopping environment and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation and cleanliness within the Store.
  • Execute and supervise Company operational processes, including receiving merchandise and managing stockrooms.
  • Enhance customer service experiences by demonstrating professionalism and respect.
  • Train and coach Associates on various operational and front end procedures.
  • Manage front end operations, including break schedules and cash handling.
  • Conduct administrative responsibilities as assigned, including payroll oversight.
