Overview

Safety-Kleen Canada Inc. is looking for an Apprentice Driver / General Helper to join their safety-focused team in Chambly, Quebec. The candidate will receive training in the handling and transportation of hazardous materials, including the operation of a cube truck to service clients and assistance in the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

  • Learn to transport hazardous waste using a vacuum truck or box truck (26') from client sites to the warehouse while complying with DOT and HAZMAT regulations
  • Learn to load and unload hazardous/non-hazardous waste properly, ensuring correct sorting and loading
  • Learn to correctly label vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements
  • Responsible for maintaining daily logs, distribution reports, and vehicle inspection reports
  • Learn to check the mechanical condition and proper functioning of equipment
  • May be assigned additional tasks based on company needs

Required skills

  • Ability to work independently after training while maintaining communication with the supervisor
  • Ability to make real-time decisions on-site
