Overview

As an Applied Researcher II at Capital One, you will be integral to advancing AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. You will collaborate with a diverse team to create AI-powered products and engage in impactful research that shapes the future of AI within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver AI products.
  • Utilize technologies such as Pytorch, AWS, and Huggingface to analyze large datasets.
  • Develop AI foundation models through all stages of production.
  • Conduct applied research to incorporate the latest AI advancements into customer experiences.
  • Translate complex AI concepts into clear business objectives.

Required skills

  • PhD or Master's degree in relevant fields such as AI, Computer Science, or Mathematics
  • Experience in applied research or machine learning
  • Proficiency in Python and open-source AI tools
  • Familiarity with AWS, Pytorch, and vector databases
  • Experience in building large deep learning models
  • Strong understanding of deep learning methodologies and optimization techniques
  • Ability to manage independent research projects
