Overview

As an Applied Researcher II at Capital One, you will be integral in developing AI-powered products that enhance customer interactions with banking services. You will collaborate with a diverse team to leverage cutting-edge AI technologies and conduct impactful applied research to drive innovations in customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Leverage technologies such as Pytorch, AWS Ultraclusters, and Huggingface
  • Build AI foundation models through all phases of development
  • Engage in high-impact applied research for next-gen customer experiences
  • Translate complex work into tangible business goals

Required skills

  • PhD in relevant fields or M.S. with significant experience in Applied Research
  • Hands-on experience developing AI foundation models
  • Strong knowledge of AI methodologies and deep learning models
  • Experience with training optimization, self-supervised learning, and explainability
  • Proficiency in programming with open-source languages
  • Experience delivering libraries or platform code
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities
