Overview

As an Applied Researcher II at Capital One, you will be instrumental in developing trustworthy and reliable AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. This role involves partnering with diverse teams to deliver AI-powered products and participating in significant applied research to advance customer interactions through innovative technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to create AI-driven solutions.
  • Build and develop AI foundation models from design to implementation.
  • Conduct applied research to integrate the latest AI advancements into customer experiences.
  • Translate complex research findings into actionable business objectives.

Required skills

  • PhD in AI, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with AI foundation models and large-scale deep learning models.
  • Proficient in Pytorch, AWS, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of AI methodologies, training optimization, and model deployment.
  • Publication record in machine learning or related fields.
