Overview

As an Applied Researcher I at Capital One, you will contribute to the creation of trustworthy AI systems, transforming the banking experience for customers through innovative machine learning applications. You will work within the AI Foundations team, collaborating with various stakeholders to build advanced AI-powered products that leverage cutting-edge technologies from research to production.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Leverage various technologies like Pytorch, AWS, and Huggingface for data analysis
  • Build AI foundation models through all phases of development
  • Engage in applied research to enhance customer experiences
  • Communicate complex work into tangible business goals

Required skills

  • PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or related fields
  • Hands-on experience with AI foundation models
  • Familiarity with open-source tools and cloud computing platforms
  • Solid understanding of AI methodologies
  • Experience in developing large deep learning models
  • Knowledge of fine-tuning NLP models and training optimization techniques
