Overview

As an Applied Researcher I at Capital One, you will contribute to the development of AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. Working within the AI Foundations team, you will engage in applied research and collaborate across teams to implement AI-powered products that transform customer interactions.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Leverage technologies like Pytorch, AWS Ultraclusters, and Huggingface.
  • Build AI foundation models through all phases of development.
  • Conduct high-impact applied research to drive customer experiences.
  • Translate complex work into tangible business goals.

Required skills

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or related fields, or M.S. with 2 years experience.
  • Experience in developing AI foundation models and solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with open-source tools and cloud computing.
  • Strong understanding of AI methodologies and deep learning.
  • Experience with training large deep learning models.
  • Track record of delivering models at scale.
