Overview

As a Field Service Engineer at Applied Materials, you will be at the forefront of the semiconductor industry, providing direct support to customers by installing, maintaining, and upgrading cutting-edge equipment. This entry-level role is suitable for recent graduates and includes a structured training program to develop your technical skills while working hands-on with advanced technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment in collaboration with senior engineers.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various systems, including electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
  • Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow safety, quality, and process guidelines in customer environments.

Required skills

  • Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
