Overview

MMT is seeking an Applications Engineer II to support advanced catheter manufacturing processes and equipment in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role involves collaborating with customers and internal teams to develop manufacturing solutions for life-saving medical devices.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with customers to understand manufacturing challenges and recommend solutions
  • Conduct proof-of-concept testing and process development
  • Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes for medical devices
  • Troubleshoot technical and process-related challenges
  • Program, test, and validate equipment before customer acceptance
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to improve capabilities
  • Train customers and internal teams on equipment operation and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and productivity

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in applications, process, or manufacturing engineering
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills for technical information
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10-20%
  • Valid U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one
  • Experience within medical device manufacturing
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards like ISO 13485 and FDA Quality System Regulations
