Job Description

Overview

The University of Illinois Foundation is seeking an Applications Developer to deliver, support, and maintain application and integration software for the UI advancement community. This role involves developing scalable solutions and integrating various software platforms to enhance user experiences, while leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and code quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to recommend and develop application and integration solutions
  • Author Technical Designs defining how functional requirements are technically enabled
  • Develop Unit Test Plans to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
  • Develop and unit test application programs as specified in Technical Designs
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting issues and developing fixes
  • Prioritize work assignments and operate with minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead, Application Development

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • At least two years of experience with object-oriented languages such as Java or C# (.NET) and SQL
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
