Job Description

Overview

The University of Illinois Foundation is seeking an Applications Developer to enhance application and integration software for its fundraising and gift-receiving operations. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to design scalable solutions and support various software integrations to ensure a seamless user experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to develop scalable application and integration solutions.
  • Author Technical Designs defining the technical enabling of functional requirements.
  • Develop Unit Test Plans for program verification and quality assurance.
  • Develop and unit test application programs according to Technical Designs.
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting issues and developing long-term fixes.
  • Prioritize work assignments and operate with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead, Application Development.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • At least two years of experience in application design and development using Java or C# (.NET) and SQL
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
  • Organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with web services and API technologies, including RESTful and SOAP
  • Experience in web application development and user interface design
