Overview

The Application Support Specialist role at Internova Travel Group involves providing comprehensive GDS and technical support to travel advisors and internal departments. The specialist will support various business divisions, assist independent contractors, and ensure efficient processes within the travel technologies framework.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide GDS and technical product support to advisors and internal teams.
  • Manage support queries and emails related to the GDS Help Desk.
  • Onboard and offboard new advisors and set up corporate clients.
  • Troubleshoot and support bespoke itinerary configurations.
  • Support implementation of new client online booking tools.
  • Enhance team knowledge of Travelport and its solutions.
  • Document processes to reduce issues and maintain efficiency.
  • Evaluate and escalate issues and training needs to IT and operational teams.

Required skills

  • Advanced knowledge of the travel industry
  • 3-5 years of experience with Travelport
  • Travelport script knowledge (Smart Buttons preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of GDS platforms (Travelport, Sabre, Amadeus)
  • Experience with mid office tools and online booking tools
