Job Description

Overview

The Application Engineer at Adams Thermal Systems will be responsible for creating and implementing customer-driven designs with minimal supervision. The role involves analyzing structures for robustness, cost, and risk, as well as supporting sales and maintaining customer relationships, with opportunities for domestic and international travel.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and implement customer-driven designs
  • Specify materials and analyze structures for robustness and cost
  • Lead Design FMEA's with cross-functional teams
  • Utilize QPC process per IATF-16949 standard
  • Serve as the technical contact for sales support
  • Support manufacturing for prototyping or production launches
  • Direct designer/drafters providing project support
  • Execute other defined department tasks

Required skills

  • CAD (Creo) design and drafting
  • GD&T application
  • Tolerance stack-up analysis
  • Windchill/PDM Link for CAD file management
  • DFM/DFA techniques
  • Heat transfer and structural analysis
  • Excellent project management and time management skills
  • 3-5 years of design experience in OEM manufacturing
  • Experience with parametric CAD software
  • Sheet metal design and weldments experience
