Leidos is designing, developing, deploying, and operating a DoD-wide Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) workflow management platform for Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). As a TS/SCI cleared Appian Software Developer/Integrator on our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the platform is built to maximize mission outcomes, is user-friendly, and adheres to IC standards, policies, and practices. We integrate off the shelf and new development efforts to sustain and enhance existing architecture and by leveraging cloud-based computing, artificial intelligence (Al), machine learning (ML) and cross-domain transfer systems to provide cutting edge requirements management, task coordination, data exploitation, enrichment, triage, and analytics capabilities to Defense and Intelligence Community members. Our program advances the state of the art in mission-focused big data analytics tools and micro-service development spanning the breadth of Agile sprints to multiyear research and development cycles. While the work is primarily conducted on-site at our client location in Bethesda, MD, we offer a flexible schedule and, occasionally, some tasks may be performed remotely. Percentage of remote work will vary based on client requirements/deliverables. Key Responsibilities include:Work with a team of system integration engineers to successfully deploy release candidates to production environment.Participate in test, staging and production deployment.Integrate container-based-Appian using Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm and other DevOpsSec integration toolsAssist in the maintenance of services and procedures for a big data pipeline which includes Kafka, Elasticsearch, and several in house written python/java micro services running on KubernetesMonitor automated system integration tests to identify failed modules and componentsManage individual project priorities, deliverables, and deadlinesFoster an environment of collaboration with the different team members in the goal of providing quality service and product to our customer To be successful in this role you need these skills (required):Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experienceMust possess an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a PolygraphExperience with AppianExperience with containerizationDevelopment and/or scripting experience, especially Python and Bash Experience with DevOps practices and tools including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and practices, especially Gitlab or JenkinsExperience with Agile practicesStrong verbal and written communication skillsEnthusiastic with the ability to work well on a team and a self-starter who can work on their own You will wow us even more if you have these skills:Experience with systems at scaleKafka or other message passing systemsExperience on a production/ enterprise systemCloud infrastructure experienceAppian certificationExperience with any of the following technologies:JavaKubernetes monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/ GrafanaAppian integration with PostgreSQL or other DBSALT for deployment automationGraphQLElasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash, specifically admin experienceHelm and HelmfilePossess at least one DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification, e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, SSCP, CISSP (or Associate)Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification per DoD 8570 policy If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
