Overview

Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI is seeking a Full-Time Apartment Building Technician to maintain safe and functional environments in apartment complexes and residential treatment programs. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple locations with a focus on community service.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance work on apartment buildings and offices
  • Handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
  • Maintain property appearance and ensure code compliance
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation
  • Collaborate with team members, vendors, and contractors
  • Operate snow removal and grounds maintenance equipment
  • Purchase supplies within budget guidelines

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2+ years of general maintenance or building repair experience preferred
  • Knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow safety procedures
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
