Overview

The ANC Ramp Manager at Swissport International AG is responsible for efficiently managing ramp activities and ensuring a safe, quality service for ground handling operations. This role is critical in maintaining strong relationships with customers and supervising ramp employees while adhering to standard operating procedures and performance metrics.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing operating budgets for approval by the General Manager
  • Ensure efficient resource planning for manpower and equipment
  • Maintain service levels and quality management in ground handling services
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with various authorities
  • Monitor and control performance KPIs related to baggage handling and on-time arrivals/departures
  • Ensure compliance with administrative and control policies
  • Implement safety and security measures for operations
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as required
  • Oversee implementation of the local emergency plan

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of managerial experience in ground handling operations
  • Strong focus on procedural compliance and safety practices
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to be on call 24/7 for emergencies
  • Capability to work under pressure and in inclement weather
