Job Description

Overview

As the ANC Ramp Manager at Swissport International AG, you will efficiently and profitably manage and direct ramp activities, ensuring a safe and quality product across various ground handling services. Guided by a mission to enhance the customer experience, you will lead a team in a dynamic and fast-paced aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing operating budgets for approval by the General Manager
  • Plan and allocate resources efficiently, including manpower and equipment
  • Ensure service levels are achieved and maintain effective relationships with customers and authorities
  • Monitor and control performance KPIs such as baggage handling and on-time arrivals/departures
  • Maintain all records related to operations and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Supervise safety and security measures related to people and equipment
  • Resolve conflicts and irregularities and participate in required meetings
  • Implement and monitor local emergency plans

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of managerial experience in ground handling operations
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and continuous improvement processes
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills in written, oral, and interpersonal contexts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and be on call 24/7 for emergencies
