Job Description

Overview

As a Part-Time ANC Ramp Agent at Swissport International AG, you will provide essential under-wing ground support services in a fast-paced aviation environment. Your role will involve loading and unloading baggage and cargo, operating ground support equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and security requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Marshall aircraft during arrival and departure
  • Unload passenger luggage and air cargo onto carts and dollies
  • Provide special handling of luggage and cargo as required
  • Deliver passenger luggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
  • Drive and operate ground support equipment
  • Collect and load mail, live animals, wheelchairs, and child strollers onto aircraft
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories
  • Inspect ramp areas for debris and ensure cleanliness
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
  • Comply with all relevant security requirements

Required skills

  • Previous ramp experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in inclement weather
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Excellent health and safety awareness
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds
