Job Description

Overview

Swissport International AG is seeking a part-time Ramp Agent in Eagle River, Alaska, to provide under-wing ground support services in the aviation industry. This role involves key responsibilities such as marshalling, baggage handling, and operating ground support equipment to ensure a smooth and efficient passenger experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Marshall aircraft during arrival and departure
  • Unload passenger luggage and air cargo onto carts or dollies
  • Provide special handling of luggage/cargo as required
  • Deliver passenger luggage to claim area and air cargo to recipients
  • Drive and operate ground support equipment, including baggage tugs and cargo dollies
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories
  • Inspect ramp areas for debris and ensure cleanliness
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
  • Comply with all safety and security requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Previous ramp experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in inclement weather
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Excellent health and safety awareness
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds
