Overview

Swissport International AG is seeking dedicated Ramp Agents for full-time, overnight positions in Eagle River, Alaska. The role involves providing essential under-wing ground support services, including loading and unloading baggage, marshalling aircraft, and operating ground support equipment, all while upholding high standards of safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Marshall aircraft during arrival and departure
  • Unload passenger luggage and air cargo onto carts or dollies
  • Provide special handling of luggage and cargo as required
  • Deliver passenger luggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
  • Drive and operate ground support equipment including tow tractors and belt loaders
  • Inspect ramp areas and remove debris
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
  • Comply with security requirements and other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Previous ramp experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in inclement weather
  • Flexibility for various shifts
  • Excellent Health & Safety awareness
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds
