Overview

Swissport International AG is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Ramp Agent at their Eagle River location. This full-time position focuses on providing essential ground support services in the aviation sector, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation for passenger and cargo handling.

Key responsibilities

  • Marshall aircraft during arrival and departure
  • Unload passenger luggage and air cargo onto carts and dollies
  • Handle special luggage and cargo as required
  • Deliver luggage to claim area and air cargo to recipients
  • Operate ground support equipment such as tow tractors and baggage tugs
  • Collect and load mail and live animals onto aircraft
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories
  • Inspect ramp areas for debris and ensure cleanliness
  • Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
  • Comply with all safety and security regulations

Required skills

  • Good command of the English language
  • Previous ramp experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in inclement weather
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
  • Excellent health and safety awareness
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds
